CPR Tempo is a valuable tool that assists with the timing of chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), offering both audio and visual cues. Additionally, the app provides convenient timers for rhythm checks after defibrillator shocking and for epinephrine administration.
The importance of maintaining a rate of 100 compressions per minute during CPR, as recommended by the American Heart Association, cannot be overstated. However, this can be challenging to sustain without the aid of audio cues, particularly as the rescuer becomes fatigued.
Moving beyond a mere advertising pitch, it is worth noting that ER nurse and Army Reservist MAJ Don Kyle himself highly extols the virtues of Tempo. Don Kyle collaborated with Frozen Ape to develop a specialized version of the app, resulting in several beneficial bonus features:

<li>Timer featuring both visual and audio cues for rhythm checks</li>
<li>Timer featuring both visual and audio cues for Epinephrine administration</li>
<li>Detailed log of each resuscitation event documenting every action taken and the specific location (location services required)</li>
<li>Customizable CPM (compressions per minute) settings ranging from 100 to 120</li>
<li>Adjustable epinephrine interval settings between 3 and 5 minutes</li>
</ul>
